WHAT IS SHOW ME WHAT YOU GOT?
Show Me What You Got is a traveling talent show, which started out on a U.S. military base in the far western part of Germany. Originally intended as a morale boost for our troops stationed abroad, the show leaned on the famous Apollo Amateur Night in Harlem, New York, for inspiration. In fact, Show Me What You Got was named after the cult-classic until the summer of 2018 when the show’s founder Dizzy the Host and Mahogany Events decided to expand and move it off military installations.
With the relocation ushering in a new era, inviting guests not just from the military community but the local communities as well, Dizzy and Mahogany seized the opportunity to grow from the show’s original namesake into something they could call their own — Show Me What You Got was born.
Though the look of the event now has its very own uniqueness, the feel and essence remain joyfully similar. Contestants who dare grace the stage are subjected to the crowds’ rule, as the boos and the cheers decide which performer gets to take home the grand prize.
For 15 years this must-attend event has successfully hosted its night of entertainment in Germany and the U.S., only to now do the same in Korea, additional US locations, and soon Italy, Japan, and Canada.
